The victim (E50) is a named male aged in his 30s in 1998. The victim was abducted in China and detained in North Hamgyong Provincial MSS detention centre. The victim had been reported by informants in China of sharing religious beliefs with North Koreans and assisting vulnerable homeless North Korean children. During interrogation, the victim revealed the names of North Koreans who attended a church in China. The victim died in custody at North Hamgyong Provincial MSS detention centre. Details are withheld for the family’s safety.
