The victim (E441) is a named female. The victim was a Christian and was arrested on a known date and detained at a known location in China. The victim was transferred to Longjing border detention centre and refouled to Hoeryong City MSS detention center where they were detained a known period. The victim was tortured by being placed in a steel cage with bars on all sides. The bars were heated through an electric current and the victim remained in the cage for 12 hours while praying. The victim urinated themselves and lost consciousness after 12 hours. The victim regained consciousness 3 days later and had severe injuries on their face and right leg. The victim had been physically assaulted while unconscious. The victim was transferred to Hoeryong City MPS detention center and then transferred to Nongpo MPS holding centre.
