The victim (E55) is a known female aged in her 20s. The victim is also a perpetrator. She had been sold into a forced marriage in China in a known period. The perpetrator was traced to a religious group and contacted by MSS officials. The perpetrator was coerced to place an unknown substance into medicine taken by a South Korean pastor in return for a known financial payment and the dismissal of criminal charges for leaving North Korea and engaging in religious acts in China. The perpetrator undertook the act against the South Korean pastor and did not return to their named hometown in North Korea owing to a fear of retribution. Details are withheld for the victim’s safety.
