The victim (E376) was a member of a group of 30 North Koreans who were arrested at the Dandong Harbour Wharf. E445’s bible was found by the Chinese police. Unnamed Chinese officials beat this victim and members of the group when no one confessed to owning the bible. The victim, along with the other members, was transferred to Dandong border detention centre for interrogation for a known period. They were then transferred to North Pyongan Provincial MSS detention center and underwent an invasive internal cavity search. The victim was transferred to North Hamgyong Provincial MSS detention centre. The victim was sentenced to a political prison camp.
