The victim (E242) was a named male in his 20s in 2000. The victim was arrested and a bible was found in his possessions. The victim was publicly executed by firing squad at a known times in the winter of 2000 at a location next to Musan Market. The victim was executed with 9 other victims. 27 MPS officers carried out the executions. The victim was tied to a wooden stake. The execution was witnessed by roughly 1000 citizens, including school groups who were taken to view the execution. The execution was conducted by North Hamgyong Provincial MPS officers.
