The victim (E99) is a named female. The victim was arrested in a known location in China on a known date. The victim was refouled and detained at North Pyongan Provincial MSS detention centre on a known date. The victim was then transferred to North Pyongan Provincial MSS holding centre for a known period and then transferred to Kyongsong County MPS detention centre. The victim was physically assaulted and interrogated at North Pyongan Provincial MSS detention centre on a known date. The victim was told to confess that they had met South Korean Christian missionaries in China. The victim did not confess and was struck with a squared wooden club until the club splintered into two pieces. The victim passed out and was placed back into a female cell with no medical treatment. Between two known dates, the victim was interrogated and physically assaulted every 2 days. The victim engaged in private prayer during her interrogation and had her fortune read by a shaman who was a fellow prisoner. Certain information is withheld for the victim’s safety.
