The victim (E98) was a female in her 30s in 2002. The victim was refouled on a known month and year from a known location in China. The victim was detained and interrogated at Onsong County MSS detention centre. The victim concealed their attendance at a church in China. A fellow prisoner shouted, “You did pray. I saw you praying. I saw it with my own eyes that you prayed, even in Yanbian. You are lying!”. MSS officials entered the cell and began to repeatedly kick the victim and strike her with a wooden club until a large pool of blood had formed on the cell floor. The victim was dragged from the cell and was not returned. Certain information is withheld for the victim’s safety.
